What is Juncture all about and how do we work with clients?

Juncture Wealth Strategies (Juncture) is a boutique investment firm with institutional resources, offering intelligent, independent investment management and wealth advocacy to high-net-worth clients. As an investment advisor, Juncture is flexible, innovative and independent, with a commitment to communicating with clients in a straightforward and direct way and serving their financial needs with intelligence, insight and transparency.

We recognize that the world we live in is constantly changing. Right now, we’re in the midst of a paradigm shift, and the future holds both new opportunities and new risks. As advisors, we seek to actively manage those risks while also taking advantage of new opportunities for growth.

Our clients are forward-looking and willing to embrace the new opportunities that this future will bring. They are constructive optimists with business sensibilities, as well as having an understanding of risk management and an entrepreneurial outlook, but they’re also discontented with the conventional Wall Street approach―they’re not satisfied with “business as usual” and have tried alternative investments in the past that didn’t meet their expectations. They’re looking for a new way forward. With our innovative investment strategies, holistic financial planning services and comprehensive wealth management, Juncture helps discerning clients manage and grow their wealth.

You can find information at Juncture Wealth Strategies, LLC's website.

  • Hannah Chapman is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), APMA, and CRPC with 20 years of fiduciary financial planning experience. She is the founder and lead advisor of X² Wealth Planning, where she integrates traditional financial planning with Human Design, Gene Keys, and money story coaching. She also hosts two weekly podcasts, Expansive CEO and Investment Friday.

  • X² Wealth Planning is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and operates as a virtual-first firm serving clients across the entire United States. All financial planning, investment management, and coaching engagements are conducted remotely, so clients in any state have full access to the firm's services regardless of location.

  • Brad Haines, CFA, FRM, is the Chief Investment Officer at Juncture Wealth Strategies, X² Wealth Planning’s investment management partner. His FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designation is uncommon among independent RIAs and reflects an institutional-grade approach to risk management. He has more than 30 years of experience in investment management, and builds individual bond portfolios for predictable income and manages long-term growth strategies for X² clients.

  • Lauren Ammon is a certified Human Design analyst through the International Human Design School and a certified coach with decades of Human Resources leadership experience. At X² Wealth Planning, she leads Human Design analysis integrated directly into the financial planning process, helping clients understand the patterns shaping their financial decisions.

  • Most financial advisory firms focus only on managing assets. X² integrates three disciplines into one engagement — fiduciary financial planning, institutional investment management, and Human Design and money story coaching — addressing both the technical and emotional dimensions of wealth. For qualifying clients, all three are included under a single fee rather than referred out separately.

  • A fiduciary financial advisor is legally and ethically obligated to act in the client's best interest at all times, under a duty of care and a duty of loyalty established by the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. This differs from a suitability standard, which only requires advice to be 'suitable,' not necessarily optimal, for the client. X² Wealth Planning is a part of Juncture Wealth Strategies, which is a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) and operates as a fiduciary in every client relationship, 100% of the time.

  • A fiduciary, such as a Registered Investment Adviser, is legally required under federal law to act in the client's best interest in the full advisory relationship. A broker-dealer operates under SEC Regulation Best Interest, a narrower standard that applies only at the moment of a specific recommendation. Broker-dealers often earn commissions on product sales, which can create conflicts of interest that fiduciary advisors are required to disclose and manage.

  • X² Wealth Planning is fee-based, not fee-only. The firm is compensated primarily through client fees — an AUM fee or a flat planning fee plus retainer — and Hannah Chapman also maintains her insurance licensing so she can advise clients directly on insurance needs when appropriate, rather than referring them to a separate insurance salesperson. Any commission earned on insurance products is fully disclosed, and X² remains a fiduciary at all times under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, regardless of how a specific recommendation is compensated.

  • X² may earn commissions on insurance products in cases where an insurance solution is the right fit for a client's plan. Hannah Chapman maintains her insurance licensing specifically so clients can be guided through that decision by their own trusted advisor rather than referred out to a commission-driven insurance salesperson who may oversell them. All compensation, including any commissions, is fully disclosed in Juncture Wealth Strategies Form ADV, which covers X² Wealth Planning, and discussed directly with clients before any recommendation is made.

  • X² Wealth Planning is compensated on a fee-based structure: an assets-under-management (AUM) fee for clients with $2.5 million or more in investable assets, or a planning fee plus investment management (AUM) fee for clients with less than $2.5 million in assets under management. The firm may also earn commissions on eligible insurance products when appropriate for a client's situation, always fully disclosed in advance.

  • X² Wealth Planning is a part of Juncture Wealth Strategies, which is registered as an investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, which creates a federal statutory fiduciary duty requiring the firm to act in each client's best interest at all times. This registration can be independently verified through the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) database.

  • You can verify fiduciary and registration status for free using the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) database or FINRA's BrokerCheck. A true fiduciary will state plainly that they act in a fiduciary capacity 100% of the time, not only in certain situations, and should be willing to put that commitment in writing.

  • X² Wealth Planning offers three integrated services: comprehensive fiduciary financial planning (cash flow, tax strategy, retirement, estate planning, insurance, business financial planning and succession, education, special needs planning, philanthropy and charitable giving, and more), institutional investment management through Juncture Wealth Strategies (including individual bond portfolios, long-term growth strategies, and alternative investments), and Human Design and inner work coaching addressing money story and relationship patterns. For qualifying clients, all three are included under one AUM fee.

  • X² Wealth Planning’s full wealth management partnership, which includes financial planning, investment management, and Human Design coaching under one fee, is designed for clients with $2.5 million or more in investable assets managed through the firm.

Clients below that threshold can receive all those same services and will pay a separate financial planning fee in addition to the investment management fee.

  • The Money Code Plan is a fast-track financial planning experience designed for entrepreneurs and sales professionals who want results quickly. It is delivered through two virtual half-day intensives — one to gather information, one two weeks later to deliver a complete Prosperity Plan — followed by ongoing monthly coaching to keep clients aligned with their financial and personal goals.

  • The exploration call is a one-hour conversation designed to bring clarity to a prospective client's current financial situation and to whether X-squared is the right fit. It covers the prospect’s current situation, what they're trying to solve, and what working together would look like. If X-squared isn't the right fit yet, that is communicated honestly along with a recommended next step.

  • Human Design is not offered as a separate service at X², it is built into the planning process from the start. Understanding a client's Human Design helps the team build a financial strategy that works with their natural decision-making style, while addressing the emotional and relational patterns, including money stories, that shape financial behavior over time.

  • X² Wealth Planning works with both individuals and couples, including partners with combined finances and those who maintain separate or hybrid financial structures. The firm's Human Design and money story work specifically addresses how each partner's individual patterns and decision-making styles affect shared financial decisions.

  • Investment management at X² Wealth Planning is provided through Juncture Wealth Strategies, led by Brad Haines, CFA, FRM. Strategies can include but are not limited to individual bond and stock portfolios, ETFs and mutual funds, real estate holdings, alternative investments, and private investments. Portfolios are built around each client's specific goals and risk tolerance rather than a standardized model applied to every client.

  • Before making major financial decisions, ensure the inherited assets are held safely while building a complete financial picture. Key steps include understanding the account types and any required distributions, evaluating the tax implications (especially for inherited IRAs), and working with a fiduciary advisor to integrate the inheritance into a broader financial plan rather than making isolated decisions under time pressure.

  • Look for a fiduciary Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with specific experience guiding clients through divorce settlements, including QDROs, property transfers, and rebuilding a financial plan as an individual. X² Wealth Planning specializes in helping clients navigate this transition, combining technical precision with the patience the emotional weight of divorce requires.

  • Business sale proceeds require careful tax planning before any investment decisions — including evaluating capital gains treatment and installment sale options. The assets should be held safely while a complete financial picture is built, followed by an investment strategy that shifts from business equity concentration to a diversified, income-generating portfolio. X-squared Wealth Planning specializes in guiding founders through this exact transition.

  • The most important first step is avoiding rushed decisions — neither investing the full amount immediately nor leaving it uninvested indefinitely. Ensure the assets are held safely, understand any time-sensitive tax elections or deadlines, and work with a fiduciary advisor to build a complete financial picture before making major commitments. X² Wealth Planning specializes in guiding clients through exactly this kind of significant wealth event.

  • Yes, though most traditional financial advisors do not address this directly. X² Wealth Planning integrates money story coaching and Human Design work specifically to address the patterns and anxieties driving financial decisions, on the premise that a technically sound plan alone often isn't enough to create lasting financial confidence.

  • A money story refers to the beliefs about money formed earlier in your life that continue to shape financial behavior and decision-making as an adult. These patterns can drive financial anxiety, avoidance, or overspending regardless of someone's actual financial literacy or success. X² Wealth Planning addresses money story work directly as part of its financial planning process.

  • Human Design is a system that maps how an individual is uniquely wired to make decisions, generate income, and interact with the world, based on birth data. In a financial planning context, understanding a client's Human Design helps build strategies that align with their natural decision-making style rather than applying a generic approach to every client.

  • Gene Keys is a framework for self-understanding that explores an individual's innate gifts, challenges, and life purpose. At X² Wealth Planning, Gene Keys work is used alongside Human Design and money story coaching to help clients understand what a truly prosperous and meaningful life looks like for them specifically, beyond simply accumulating wealth.

  • Yes, for qualifying clients. Human Design and inner work integration is built into both the comprehensive financial planning engagement and the AUM wealth management partnership — it is not sold as a separate add-on service. Clients who want ongoing, deeper Human Design coaching can continue that work through monthly sessions included in the AUM partnership.

  • No. X² Wealth Planning’s core financial planning and investment management services stand on their own, built on traditional fiduciary planning principles and institutional investment management. Human Design and inner work are offered as an integrated differentiator for clients who want it, not a requirement or belief system clients must adopt to receive excellent financial advice.
